Welcome to Harvest Point United Methodist Church!
This is a life-giving church and we are confident that you will find Harvest Point to be a place where you can experience God and connect with others. We encourage you to explore our site and take a look at everything we have to offer you and your family. Maybe you’ve dropped by to learn about who we are, our vision, or our mission. That’s great! This site can also help you plug into a ministry or find a small group. Don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions. And it would be our honor to welcome you in person when you join us for one of our weekend services.
Harvest Point is a United Methodist Church that was launched in the Henry County area in 2001. Our founding pastor and his family came here to begin the church and what started out as just 21 people grew from 80 to 150 to so much more. From the beginning, the goal of our church has been to be big on two things: Love and Generosity! So at Harvest Point we are all about people. We are connected and support United Methodist mission projects all over the world and locally we try to be a leading church in serving our community.
Throughout the first 14 years we worshiped in several different facilities – some small, some large – but all leased. We bought land back in 2005 but the collapse of the American economy caused us to pause on our plans to build a church home. In early 2015 we were blessed to be able to open our own ministry campus Locust Grove and we invite you to come and check it out. We love our new forever home!
The mission of our church is simple:
“We are planting, growing and harvesting – for Heaven’s sake.”
- We plant by sowing seeds of God’s love in our community. Service within the walls and outreach beyond the walls and within our community is what we do. More importantly it is who we are.
- We grow through learning as disciples at all age levels. Our focus isn’t information (though that is important), but transformation. We want every person in our church to have a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
- We harvest by seeing lives changed. God has blessed us to see many salvations, baptisms, marriages saved, people called into ministry…and we have witnessed the power of God to do what only he can do! Restore and redeem lives.
